Sydney is an amazing city with a winning beach x city combination! There’s a lot happening, cool places to go and new places to explore. I’m always writing new things to do on my Sydney bucket list. Today I thought I’d share 3 things that I think are real must dos in Sydney. Preferably done repeatedly on a regular basis haha.
1. Walk/run the Eastern suburbs coastal walk
These photos were all taken along Sydney’s spectacular Eastern suburbs coastal walk. I love this part of Sydney and I’m lucky to live very close to it. It’s the perfect place for a walk with friends or for a run with stunning views. Bondi to Coogee is about 6km and offers varied beaches and sights the whole way. Coogee to Maroubra is about 4km and a bit less crowded. If going for a run the 210 steps of the Coogee stairs offer a serious workout challenge. They’ll get that bum into shape in no time haha (keep in mind these are optional and not a requirement of the coastal walk though hehe).
2. Go out for breakfast/brunch
Aussies sure know how to make a good breakfast, or brekkie that is. Sydney is packed with cute cafes that serve up all the avocado, eggs, french toast, pancakes and smoothies you could dream of. Surry Hills, Coogee and Bondi are the suburbs I tend to end up in, both because they’re in close proximity to me and because they’re packed with great cafes. That being said there’s plenty to be explored and meals to be eaten all over Sydney. Manly and the West are at the top of my to-do list breakfast wise. To find good cafe recommendations go to The Urban List and Time Out.
3. Have a drink with a view
Sydney is a incredibly picturesque city. The views can be admired drink in hand at some cool bars around town. There’s a lot to choose from. If you’re keen on a beach view the Coogee Pavilion or The Bucket List in Bondi are awesome options. Or you can actually head out to sea and over to The Island, a floating bar in the Sydney Harbour! (during the summer months) For a harbour/city view go to the classic Opera bar or over to a rooftop in the Rocks. The bar on the top floor of the Shangri-La hotel is on my bucket list. So many options! So good! haha. Again head to websites such as The Urban List and Time Out for more tips on where to go.
Hope you’ve enjoyed this post. I’d love to hear any tips you might have :)
